Many of you may be wondering…What makes Biolouve innovative? What sets it apart? Why do we say these are the first products in Latin America that truly contribute to intimate care by strengthening our vulvovaginal ecosystem?
Our Formulations
Our formulations are designed with biotechnology: we incorporate a complex called BioticV+, which is a filtrate of lactobacillus (probiotics) containing bioactive metabolites that promote the growth of protective vulvovaginal microbiota and help maintain vaginal pH at its optimal level—preventing the growth of microorganisms that cause infections:
- Candida albicans: The main microorganism (fungus) responsible for vulvovaginal candidiasis, the most frequent of female genital pathologies.
- Escherichia coli (E. Coli): The most common microorganism causing urinary tract infections.
- Gardnerella vaginalis: The bacterium that causes bacterial vaginosis, one of the most frequent vulvovaginal infections.
BioticV+: Reduces 99% of microorganisms E. Coli, C. Albicans, and G. Vaginalis.
This is why we created this family of products: not only to provide proper hygiene but also to support intimate health by reinforcing the vaginal flora and preventing the growth of unwanted microorganisms that cause infections.
What was it like before Biolouve?
Before Biolouve, there was no intimate care routine (Skintimate). We had moisturizers for every part of our body, but the vulvar skin was completely overlooked. There were no moisturizers, no refreshing sprays to neutralize unwanted odors, no products to improve the appearance and help us feel more comfortable with ourselves. Instead, women often used traditional intimate soaps or even “white soap,” which, instead of providing deep cleansing as we believed, could irritate the mucosa and alter the vaginal microbiota’s pH. This left the area more vulnerable and prone to infections due to ingredients such as sulfates, glycerin, and parabens (always read the ingredients before applying any product to your skin!).
